Flooring invoicing

Invoice every flooring job, and get paid without the chasing.

Seamvo invoices the deposit and the balance, keeps trade accounts on their terms, adds a Pay now card link and sends polite reminders when payment is late. Ivy chases what is overdue and matches payments as they arrive.

Why flooring businesses wait to get paid

  • Deposits and balancesTwo or three invoices per job, and it is easy to miss the final one after the fitting.
  • Trade accountsFitters and builders on 30 days, each with their own limit, and some always late.
  • Chasing feels awkwardSo it gets put off, and overdue invoices quietly grow.
  • Matching paymentsBank lines with half a reference, matched to invoices by hand.

How invoicing works in Seamvo

Deposits, then the balance

Take a deposit when the order is placed and invoice the rest when the job is done. Dex reminds you about finished jobs that still need invoicing.

Invoices and credit notes

Invoices follow UK rules with VAT, and once issued they cannot be changed: mistakes are put right with a credit note, which can restock the goods or hold the money as credit.

Trade accounts

Businesses apply online with their details and references. You set their terms and credit limit, and Seamvo warns before an order takes them over it.

Pay now card links

Connect your own Stripe account and every invoice carries a Pay now link, so customers can pay by card in a few taps. The money goes straight to you.

Reminders and chasing

Switch on payment reminders and customers with overdue invoices get one polite email at up to three stages, 3, 14 and 30 days late unless you choose otherwise. Ivy chases the rest, with each email ready for your approval.

Who owes you

See every unpaid invoice by customer and how late it is, with bank payments matched to invoices so you always know what is really outstanding.

Questions

Can I take a deposit and invoice the balance later?

Yes. Take the deposit on the order and invoice the remainder when the job is finished; the job page shows what has been paid and what is left.

How do customers pay by card?

Connect your own Stripe account in Settings. Each invoice then has a Pay now link, and payments are marked as paid in Seamvo automatically.

Can I correct an invoice after sending it?

Issued invoices stay as they are, as UK rules expect. Raise a credit note against the invoice to correct it, refund it or hold the money as customer credit.

Does it export to Xero or QuickBooks?

Not yet. Seamvo has its own accounts area with banking, VAT return figures and profit and loss. An export for accountants is on our list.

What does it cost?

£499 a month for every feature, invoicing included, for up to 15 people, with 7 days free and no card to start.
